About the project
We are looking for a Product Owner / Product Manager to drive the evolution of an AI-powered retail analytics product used by FMCG brands and retailers. In this role, you will own the product roadmap, collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with clients and partners, and ensure product investments align with business goals and market needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in a B2B software product environment
- Strong FMCG or retail domain knowledge, including an understanding of shelf execution, planogram compliance, category management, or retail analytics from a business perspective
- Proven ability to define and defend product roadmaps with senior stakeholders; experience presenting to steering committees or executive-level audiences
- Strong product mindset with the ability to make strategic decisions about what to build and why, beyond writing specifications
- Experience preparing or overseeing functional requirements documentation (SRS, One-Pagers) and decomposing features into backlog items
- Excellent English communication skills with confidence in representing the product during presales, client, and partner interactions
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, and Data/ML teams
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate business value, effort, and risk when prioritizing initiatives
Nice-to-have skills
- Direct experience working for an FMCG company, retailer, or retail execution / retail audit provider
- Familiarity with Computer Vision, image recognition, or AI-powered retail analytics products
- Knowledge of planogram tools, retail execution platforms, or shelf monitoring workflows
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with tools such as Jira and Confluence
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Gathering and consolidating product improvement ideas from clients, internal teams, and market insights
- Analyzing market trends, competitors, and FMCG client needs to define investment priorities
- Forming, prioritizing, and defending the product backlog and roadmap based on business value, effort, and strategic fit
- Presenting roadmap initiatives and aligning priorities with stakeholders and the Steering Committee
Planning & Delivery
- Co-creating and maintaining delivery plans with Product Managers
- Defining and decomposing features, overseeing requirements documentation (SRS, One-Pagers), and supporting estimations
- Supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, delivery acceptance, and cross-team collaboration
- Monitoring delivery progress and preparing roadmap and status updates for stakeholders
Client & Presales Engagement
- Supporting presales activities, product demonstrations, workshops, and client consultations
- Participating in RFP/RFQ and tender processes, including business questionnaires and estimations
- Consulting Sales and clients on product capabilities, recognition scenarios, and project-specific requirements
- Supporting pilot discoveries, onboarding activities, and escalation management
Governance & Cross-functional Coordination
- Reviewing client-driven feature requests to ensure alignment with product strategy and architecture
- Coordinating cross-team initiatives and acting as a key stakeholder for Image Recognition roadmap items
- Consulting Labeling, Data, and partner teams on recognition requirements, business rules, and model training standards
- Maintaining effective collaboration with strategic partners through roadmap discussions and feasibility reviews
