Senior QA Automation Engineer (Automation & Manual)

Our customer is Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the biggest brewery company in the world. We own over 630 beer brands (including Budweiser, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Beck’s, Leffe, Chernihivske) in 150 countries and are considered to cover 28% of the global beer market worldwide. European HQ is in Leuven, Belgium.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in Test Automation Engineering, SDET, or software development with a strong focus on automation
• Hands-on experience with backend, API, and end-to-end test automation
• Strong knowledge of Java and test automation frameworks (TestNG, RestAssured, Cucumber)
• Experience with build tools such as Maven
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools
• Intermediate or higher level of English with communication skills

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools
• Knowledge of test environment management and scalable automation practices
• Experience maintaining automated testing within CI/CD pipelines

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and maintaining automated tests for backend services, APIs, and system-level functionality
• Ensuring high test coverage and product quality through effective automation strategies, reducing release risks
• Collaborating closely with developers and QA engineers to clarify requirements, identify quality gaps, and improve testing processes
• Executing manual and automated testing to validate product functionality, stability, and compliance with business requirements
• Investigating test failures, analyzing results, and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps
• Configuring and maintaining test environments while supporting automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines
• Leveraging modern testing technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve automation efficiency and productivity
• Supporting manual QA activities and promoting quality best practices across the team
