SAP ABAP Engineer (S/4HANA and R/3)

Requirements

• Experience as an SAP ABAP Engineer with a focus on both S/4HANA and R/3 environments
• Proven experience in ABAP development for SAP S/4HANA (CDS, BOBF, ABAP Restful, etc.) as well as ABAP for SAP R/3 systems
• In-depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Proficiency with ABAP WebDynpro, Object-Oriented ABAP (OO), RFC, BAPI, BADI, BDC, User Exits, ALV, Workflows, and Enhancement points
• Experience with SAP Fiori, UI5, and Fiori elements/SmartTemplates
• Understanding of SAP R/3 architecture and how to adapt modern ABAP practices to legacy systems
• Language: Fluent in English
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

• Participate as an SAP ABAP/UI5 Developer in SAP migration projects for our existing customer base
• Develop business logic and enhancements in both S/4HANA and R/3 implementations, ensuring optimal performance across both environments
• Customize and enhance out-of-the-box SAP solutions to meet customer requirements
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for development objects, adhering to both S/4HANA and R/3 standards
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with legacy SAP R/3 systems where needed
• Lead development projects, setting targets for colleagues and ensuring the team meets project deadlines
• Collaborate closely with other team members, including providing knowledge transfer to ensure best practices are followed in both modern and legacy SAP environments
